MOM`S GUIDELINES FOR AN AWSOME NEW BORN SESSION
1. If you are breastfeeding, I would like to suggest not to eat spicy foods, slow down with drinks with cafeine the day before and the day of the photoshoot. Actually it is not bad ideia to take chamomile tea a day before and then before the session and of course we will have some here too, just for you!
2. I also recommend if possible, to keep your little one awake in the couple hours leading up to the session. If the baby sleeps all the time in the previous hours of the session, he (she) just might be ready for a long awake period. We suggest you play with your baby for the previous two hours of the session, or put him (her) in a busy and noise place, maybe even give the baby a bath before the session – whatever it takes to keep him (her) alert for an hour or two.
3. Full baby means happy and sleepy baby. Make sure your little one has a nice, full tummy before he (she) leaves the house to come to our session. Keep in mind that you are going to have to keep feeding him (her) all the time during the session. Babies require a lot of feeding in order to relax and sleep. In fact, having your baby fed very well before and during the session will ensure that baby is going to be satisfied and will be more likely to have a long, sleepy stretch. Please bring plenty of bottles with breastmilk or formula ready to go and remember yourself to drink lots of water, coconut water, tea or juice so we can assure that the baby is going to have all the food that he (she) needs.
4. Bring a pacifier if you can with you, even if you don’t plan to give a pacifier to your little baby at all, its good to have it in the session, just in case we need to smooth him (her). If you already use Gripe Water or something similar to calm him (her) down, feel free to give to him (her) one hour before the session as prescribed by your doctor.
5. Bring the baby preferably in a button-up or zip-up sleeper or in an easy to "take off" clothe. If you have a especial outfit you want the baby to wear to take a picture, that is fine too (even if is not easy to take off...lol) we'll have you covered! Be sure, though, to not wear your little one with tight socks or things alike, because they may end up having many depressions left behind on the skin that we don`t want to show in the picture.
6. We love matching clothes, like: Mom and me, daddy and me or just color matches like everybody with the same color or similar colors tons to match. Best options for canvas are solid color clothes as it does not conflict with the other decoration patterns of the nursery.
7. Last but not least the studio is going to be very HOT, so you want to dress lightly and don’t forget your book, magazine or whatever you want to bring to distract yourself
We'll be providing refreshments,
We want to welcome your precious baby, Much Happiness and Many blessing!
Looking forward to see you and meet the new little blessing!
